Who We Are

Director / Partner — BCom, CPA

Nicole joined Forsyths in 2000, with a break between 2004 and 2010 to raise her two children. She completed her Bachelor of Commerce at JCU in 1993 after moving to Queensland from Victoria in 1989. Nicole has called Finch Hatton home since 2001. She’s actively involved in the community and serves on several local committees, including the Mackay Community Garden and the Pioneer Valley Agricultural Show Society.

Director / Partner — BBus, FCPA

David started at Forsyths in 1987 after completing his accounting degree in Rockhampton and returning to Mackay. He became a CPA in 1993 and was made partner in 1998. He has since attained fellowship status with CPA Australia. David focuses on taxation and business services and enjoys spending time with his family and coaching or playing basketball.

Partner — CA, CTA

Rebecca moved to Australia from Wales as a backpacker and decided to stay after working at an accountancy practice in Longreach. She joined Forsyths in 2013 and is now based in Mackay with her son Jake and twins Cara and Lochlan. As a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser, Rebecca has worked with clients across primary production, retail and government. She supports business owners with planning, growth and strategic decision-making.

Partner — BAcct, ASA, JP (Qual)

Sarah began at Forsyths in 2008 as an Undergraduate Accountant after finishing high school at Mackay North State High. She studied part time through CQ University and completed her Bachelor of Accounting in 2014. Sarah became a partner in 2016 and works across taxation and business services, with a particular focus on Deceased Estates. She also enjoys organising staff events, travelling and creative hobbies.

Accountant

Brianna joined Forsyths in 2017 as a receptionist after graduating from Mackay Christian College and completing a Certificate III in Business. She is now studying a Bachelor of Business part time at CQU and works in the accounting team. Outside of work, Brianna enjoys sports, travel and being active in her church.

Bookkeeper

Kendall has been working at Forsyths since 2017 after relocating to Mackay with her family. She has lived and worked in South Australia, Tasmania, Western Australia and Airlie Beach. Kendall enjoys outdoor activities and camping, and works closely with clients using cloud accounting platforms. Her focus includes Intuit and Xero, with an emphasis on training and improving efficiencies.

Bookkeeper / BAS Agent

Jenny is a Mackay local who began her education in Sarina before completing further study at Mackay TAFE. She originally worked with Forsyths before taking a break to raise her children, and later returned to the practice. Jenny is a registered BAS agent and member of the Australian Bookkeepers Network. She works with software including Reckon, Intuit, Xero and MYOB.

Bookkeeper

Stacey joined Forsyths in 2006 as a receptionist and has since progressed through senior administration into her current bookkeeping role. Her long-term involvement with the firm has equipped her with skills across multiple areas of support and client service. She now works part time and continues to assist where needed.
